Line? What Line?

Don’t Let This Be You!

If you have never been to The Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane, then you don’t know that the line is LONG when entering the show.  Sometimes it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get in. 

If you have been………..oh you know what I’m talkin about!

Even though it’s June, sometimes the weather here in Washington State can be a bit unpredictiable.

This was two years ago when my posse and I went to the show.  It rained and the wind blew and ……….well we were soaked!

Of course not one of us knuckleheads brought an umbrella.  We didn’t want to carry anything extra.

By the time we got inside the building, we were soaking wet. 

Not to mention……………. we watched a lot of people walk stuff out to their cars while we were waiting in line. 

GUT WRENCHING I tell ya! 

You know how it is when you go to a sale and all you want to do is get in and start shoppin!

This was Michele and I.  We have super curly frizzy hair, so we use 

a lot of hair product to keep it under control.  Rain is definitely not our friend!

Last year the line was TWICE as long as this.  It didn’t rain, but the wind did blow and it was cold.

There is one benefit to waiting in a line this long…

You make a lot of new friends while standing there.

Which is fun but your still dying to get in to that sale!

Don’t let this be you!  

When your friends are talking about how long the line was look at them and say “Line? What line?” 

How? How? How?  How can I not stand in line? How can I not stand in line?

I have had them for a couple weeks and it’s been everything I could do to keep my mouth shut about them.

I’ve been hoarding shopping carts for years and this weekend……………….

They are all coming out of the garage for the show.

They will also be all dressed up and ready for some shopping.

I did a few modifications to these carts.  I have put pockets on the inside to hold cameras, drink cups, wallets, or whatever you might need to make your shopping easier.

In the past my purse and wallet have always fallen to the bottom. Then all my cool stuff I purchased would get piled on top, so I thought “I need pockets!”

and

“I need a place to hold my Diet Coke!”

Also for fun……………………..

We will have many different liners you can chose from.  They fit lots of different size carts.

If you don’t have a cute little liner with all the pockets we just might be able to hook you up!

We will also be offering a custom cart liner service.

Got a cart?  Got your favorite fabric?  Can’t sew?  Don’t have time?

Bring it on down and we will take it and get a liner made for it.

This isn’t any ordinary portable chair this one is well equipped for any kind of junkin excursion.  Table on the side, screen printed graphics, pockets on the side, folds up easy for storage or toting,

and it’s easy to get in and out of.  All these things were important to me when looking for the perfect chair.

These will be avaliable at the show also.

I love the little table but the pockets on the side ROCK!

Cell phone, camera, magazines, sun screen , what ever you want to use it for there should be enough pockets for you to store all your stuff.
These are also avaliable in other colors.

All merchandise is limited to quanity on hand.

However………………

we will be taking orders.  I don’t want anyone to miss out if they really wanted any of the Come Junk With Us items.

We are also doing door prize drawings thoughout the day on both days.

Farm Chicks 2010

As The Farm Chicks Show gets closer there have been lots of questions about Come Junk With Us taking a bus to Spokane…

Yes there is a bus going to Farm Chicks!

It will be leaving out of the Seattle area.

Here are some frequently asked question about riding with Come Junk With Us.

What is the cost?

Cost is $559 per person.

This includes transportation, hotel accommodations(2 per room), meals, and entry into the Farm Chicks both days.

$625 per person if you want your own room.

What if I can’t find a roommate?

We don’t want to assign people to rooms with people they don’t know.

You have the option of having your own room or if you don’t mind rooming with someone you don’t know, please contact me.

I do have some ladies who have told me they would like to go if they could get a roommate and

they didn’t care if it wasn’t someone they knew.

What if I want to buy something big?

I’ve thought of that!

The bus we will be taking has lots and lots of room in the underside cargo area. In addition to this, PJ (my husband) will be taking

over a truck and trailer to haul anything back that won’t fit under the bus.

We will only be taking your large items as far as your car. You will need to make arrangements from the park and ride to your home.

What are the advantages of going on the bus

No 5+ hour drive for you! You don’t have to listen to your friend’s stories over and over again while you fight to stay awake. No gas expense, no husband complaining about

putting so many miles on the car.

Maybe you don’t have any friends that want to go. This is the perfect opportunity to go with 40 of your new Junk Queen friends.

Are you flying in to our beautiful evergreen state and don’t want to rent a car, try to find a hotel in an area you don’t know, or navigate around an unknown city?

The bus is perfect for you!

On the bus we like to make it a mobile party.

Where are the pick up places

Currently we will start at the Brick Yard Park and Ride in Bothell right off 405. As people sign up we will get some more stops along the way.

We will try to make as few stops as possible as to not add  to our trip time, but we will also try to make it convenient as possible for people.

If you are coming  from out of town we will be picking up at the Come Junk With Us hotel in Bothell.

What time are we leaving and getting back

Our schedule departure time will be 10 am on Friday morning June 4^th. Times will vary depending on where you are in the pick up schedule.

Coming back we should be home around 5 or 6 pm again………….depending on how long it take to get guests and their treasures unloaded at their stops.

How many people can go on the bus?

We can seat 40 comfortably on one bus. If we have more than that we do have a back up bus. If you are trying to arrange for more than 6 people attending, please contact me.

What if I want to drive or fly in from another city

and would like to catch the bus?

I have discount hotel accommodations set up for you. The bus will pick you up at either of these hotels in the morning and drop you off at this hotel on Sunday when we return.

I can also help with arranging transportation from the airport to hotel and back to the airport.

If you are going to be in our beautiful city for more than just the Farm Chicks Junk Junket I’m happy to help you with site seeing and restaurants.

   I loved these paper flowers that were hanging every where.

Lots of fun Valentine’s Day stuff.  Most of it was gone before I could even get pictures of it.

Ms. Thang has done gone and developed herself a signature scent of candles  that is TO DIE FOR!  It’s so springy that it makes you want to bust out the flip flops and go buy daffodils or tulips.

I loved these pleated pillows.  Beautiful!
